Biography: Seventh Calling is a 100% heavy metal band that has many influences from which it draws its strength: Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Metal Church, Slayer, Testament, Grim Reaper, Nevermore, Wolf, Dream Evil, and so on.. Seventh Calling is able to deliver a high energy live performance that pushes them above many of the other bands that are out there today. Solid vocals, twists on dual guitar attacks, a very solid, rhythm section, are just parts of what creates Seventh Calling’s modern heavy metal that has its classic traits present in all aspects. Originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota, the band built a name for themselves through Midwest tour dates and their 2007 album Monuments on Melissa Records. Last year the core of the band, Steve Handel and guitarist Alex Ritchey relocated to Las Vegas, Nevada to team up with Avenger of Blood drummer Shannon Frye to complete the Prelude to Madness EP, issued late 2009 by Heaven and Hell Records. The band’s debut for the label has been met with rave reviews worldwide as anticipation grows for their second full length. In May of 2010, Seventh Calling will unleash Epidemic on the world through Heaven and Hell Records. “The new material is more aggressive than past efforts, and all of us involved, feel that this music is much more matured.
